Welcome to Thrive80!

Thrive80 is a blog sponsored by Vertical Lit, a group from Moody Publishers who are publishing content exclusively for Millennials. You might be wondering – what is a Millennial? Us. Generation Y. Those born between 1980 and 2000. We are a generation that longs for authenticity, flourishes in community, and wants to do things differently.  Hence, Thrive80.

But we have a dilemma. The church is not reaching our generation with lasting effect. Only 13 percent of Millennials consider any type of spirituality to be important in their lives. Only 6 percent are really “sold out” for Christ. This is a big problem and Vertical Lit wants to change that.

Thrive80 has been created to serve you and we want to hear from you! What does our generation need? How can we help you form a closer relationship with God? We are committed to publishing material with an upward focus (a right view of who God is), an inward focus (a holistic approach to the gospel), and an outward focus (a discipleship-focused lifestyle).

Thrive80 is written by Millennials for Millennials. We promise to never post an article that is fluff. Our articles will be real. They will be gritty at times. They will challenge you. They will make you think. If they don’t, let us know! We are here for you.

This blog is a community where deep questions are asked without fear of being called a heretic. Where life change happens. Where God meets us exactly where we are at.
